Fraction of Physicians at Majlis Oppose Minister's Impeachment

TEHRAN -- Majlis Deputy from Mashhad, Khorasan Province, Ali Tajernia said here Tuesday the Majlis Fraction of Physicians will not support the impeachment of Health Minister Mohammad Farhadi.
The Fraction of Physicians at Majlis are nonetheless critical of the status of health and medical services nationally but say that the ways and means for correcting defects can be found out and agreed upon by discussing health and medical services problems with professionals in the field, he said as quoted by IRNA.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Farhadi told reporters here on Tuesday that he had not yet heard of an impending impeachment by the Majlis. He commented that constitutionally, Majlis deputies had the liberty to impeach a minister, and said that he would certainly respond to an impeachment before the Majlis once he is required to do so.
